Inadequate Practice Habits

This one is subtle and is often done in ignorance. Although it is not intended to do harm, it becomes the most harmful. Think of practice as an exercise of a skill repeated over and over again on a daily basis to improve or maintain one’s proficiency. Inadequate practice is a practice that not only fails to keep up with the proficiency that a player has achieved but also leads to the development of habits that are counterproductive. The result is underdevelopment.
